Browser Extension
PowCal Helper opens Google Calendar links and calendar files in the PowCal desktop app instead of the browser. That is all it does.
Nothing leaves your computer
The extension collects nothing, stores nothing, and never contacts any server. It reads three things and hands each to the PowCal app on your own computer, through the powcal:// link scheme:
- Google Calendar links – when you navigate to
calendar.google.com, the address is redirected to the app. - The current tab’s address – when you click the toolbar button, it is passed to the app.
- Finished downloads – their file name and type are checked, and calendar files (
.ics) are passed to the app by their location on your computer. Other downloads are ignored, and no download’s contents are ever read.
This data is not kept, transmitted, sold, or shared, and is used for no other purpose – not for advertising, and not to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
What the PowCal app itself does with a link or file is covered by the PowCal privacy policy.
